Faith's Precious Value
The faith that we have that is “equally precious” to Peter’s does not seek righteousness in oneself, but outside of ourselves in Christ. It is God’s righteousness that he employs to take sinners who hate him and make us his. It was his righteousness that accomplished everything you need for salvation…and it is his righteousness that brings you to trust in him. Peter is telling them that their faith is equally precious with his because of the infinite value of Jesus…who gives himself fully for you. Jesus changes everything.
