This is the one we long for! This is the one who came and is coming again! Christmas isn’t a silent, holy night because it brings warm fuzzies. It isn’t a Silent…holy night because God is silent! It is an earth shattering change to everything because the infinitely glorious God came to be one of us…for us! It is a Silent/holy night because every attempt we make to grasp onto empty glory and press it to our own advantage is brought to nothing. It is a Silent night because the whole world had to shut their mouths before the awesome power, mercy, and grace of our God!
