No Graven Images
Jesus didn’t make images. He was nothing like the things we honor, desire, or esteem—he is the perfect image of God for us. The true and perfect image of God, took on his own shoulders God’s wrath on sin and all its consequences that every generation deserved, so that in him God would pour out the consequences of his steadfast love eternally. That is how Jesus fulfilled the second commandment. No one does it better…
