Pleased
God is telling you today that he is pleased. He was pleased to decide before time began that you should be right here, right now. He was pleased to orchestrate all things to work together so that you could hear the name of Jesus today. He is pleased because of what Jesus has done on your behalf. He is pleased to pour out his Spirit to dwell with you and in you. He is pleased to call you son and daughter in Jesus. Just an ounce of compassion applied at the root (the hurts, shame, etc. that are in our pasts and in our hearts) can do what the 20 best strategies for overcoming sin can’t. God is spring-loaded with compassion for you…weak, helpless, sinner.
