From the Heart
You don’t need religious sounding language, or the right clothes, or a polished up life. You need to obey God’s Word, but then, let’s be honest, you have to wrestle with the fact that you don’t obey God’s Word. What is the real remedy? Jesus is the only way to purify your heart. When you come to Jesus you hear the Word of God in truth. When you come to Jesus your heart is washed clean by the blood that he shed for you. When you come to Jesus, you come to the one who truly worshipped the Father in Spirit and truth…and when you come to Him, the Holy Spirit doesn’t just take away your sin, but he gives you the righteousness of Jesus. He is the one who opens your blind eyes…and when you belong to him you are part of the plant that can never be uprooted.
